The AHSN Network is proud to present a new video showcasing the unique role and wide-ranging impact of England’s 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs). Told in the words of key stakeholders and partners, it sums up in less than 4 minutes how the AHSN Network is enabling the faster spread and adoption of innovation into the NHS in England.
The video is accompanied by new figures showing the collective impact the AHSN Network has made since its creation in 2013.AHSNs work both locally to drive innovation and transformation, and as a connected national network to identify what works best so it can be adopted and spread across wide geographies. The end result helps the NHS improve patient outcomes and save money, as well as supporting economic growth.BenefitsSince 2013, we have enabled the spread of over 200 innovations throughout 11,000 locations. These have benefited 6 million people, created more than 500 jobs and have leveraged £330m investment to improve health and support the NHS, social care and industry innovators.ImpactWe have also published a brochure featuring a selection of case studies spanning our first licence, which demonstrate the impact of some of the innovations supported and spread with the support of the AHSN Network. Read the brochure here, or download it below. For further case studies from across the AHSN Network, take a look at the AHSN Atlas of Solutions in Healthcare.
