How to use your sats probe

Welcome to the Virtual Covid Ward. This short video explains how to use the 'sats probe' (also called a pulse oximeter) we have given you to help us take care of you remotely.

This film has been produced by the TICC-19 Pathway team, a Covid-19 triage pathway developed at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Webinar: Remote monitoring using pulse oximetry in care homes

This webinar explains the background to COVID Oximetry @home and COVID virtual wards, and what this means for care home staff supporting residents who are being monitored remotely using pulse oximetry. Aimed at registered managers, care workers in care homes, Primary Care Network clinical leads, and staff supporting remote monitoring, it covers why ‘silent hypoxia’ is important, how it works in practice, and the range of support and learning materials on offer.

Organised by the AHSN Network with NHS England and NHS Improvement, the webinar was held on 9 February 2021.
