Associate Director - Strategic Themes (Healthy Ageing and Patient Safety)

Kathy Wallis is Associate Director for Strategic Programmes (Healthy Ageing and Medicines Optimisation). Before taking on this role she has successfully managed the AHSNs Nutrition in Older People Programme and the Reducing Harm in Alcohol Programme. In April 2017 she started the Healthy Ageing Programme. Kathy is an experienced Change and Programme Manager. She initially worked for 12 years as a clinical pharmacist, then moving into management consultancy working mainly on pharmaceutical and healthcare projects with a special interest in the implementation of change and of clinical systems. Latterly she has been an IM&T Project Manager at University Hospital Southampton responsible for the successful implementation of a Trust-wide inpatient patient administration system and an ePrescribing system, as well as leading on the procurement of a Critical Care Clinical Information System for the Trust’s five critical care units.
