Dr Richard Guerrero-Luduena

Senior Research Fellow, CIS

Dr. Richard Guerrero-Ludueña is a Senior Research Fellow at the Wessex AHSN Centre for Implementation Science (CIS), within Health Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Richard obtained a PhD in Statistics (Healthcare Modelling) at the University of Barcelona, an MSc in Process and Systems Engineering at the University of Valladolid, and a BSc in Industrial Engineering at the University of Talca. He has worked for over 10 years in the application of Operational Research and Data Analytics to Health Services in Chile, Spain and UK. Richard has extensive experience in process and system design which coexists along with the introduction of new innovations.

He is passionate about improving efficiency and value in healthcare by using a rigorous and robust analytical approach.

Richard’s specialist areas: Planning and management of resources, execution in healthcare, as well as analysis of activity, capacity and demand. Further, process and system redesign and prevention, early detection and treatment of disease. His expertise are mainly in quantitative data analysis.
