Innovation Adoption Programme & Medicines Optimisation (Local) Programme Manager

Suzi is an Innovation Adoption Programme Manager with a focus on the spread of nationally prioritised innovations at Wessex AHSN and the local programme lead for our Medicines Optimisation programmes. As part of the Innovation Adoption Flexi team, Suzi was the previous programme lead for delivery of the PReCePT Programme across Wessex. PReCePT is a national quality improvement project designed to reduce the incidence of cerebral palsy through the administration of magnesium sulphate to eligible preterm mothers across England.

Prior to joining Wessex AHSN Suzi spent 10 years working in the South African not-for-profit and private healthcare sectors. She has a personal interest in healthcare literacy and the role healthcare practitioners, governments and society can play in promoting health and wellness. A passion that was ignited through her work in the public sector in South Africa and also through her Masters studies in Public Health at the University of Manchester.

Suzi is half Dutch and has lived all over the world in countries such as Ghana, Nigeria and Egypt to name but a few. Having been born in the Caribbean means she leans towards warmer climes and makes up for the chillier UK weather by pursuing a love of travel.
