Wessex AHSN and the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) have worked together on a call inviting innovators in the field of Mental Health technology to bid for up to £100,000 of funding to further develop their products.
Funded by NHS England and led by the AHSN Network, SBRI Healthcare brings together business, health, technology and government partners to deliver competitions during which companies are invited to bid for funding to develop solutions for specific health needs.
Bids are assessed by a panel of technical, business and clinical experts and the most promising ideas are selected for funding. For more information on SBRI Healthcare, please click here.

Areas of particular interest were ‘Children and Young People’s Mental Health’, ‘Depression, Self-harm and Suicide’ and ‘New Models of Care’.
Wessex AHSN were involved in writing the call and sat on the assessment panel. Panel members will be meeting again later in the year to review progress with the potential for companies to bid for further funding.
