The QUIQCARE solution aims to increase staffing efficiencies within General Practice in both identifying areas for improvement in the standard of care as well as the collation of evidence required to achieve positive CQC audit results. The tool allows for gathering of policies and documentation into a single version across multiple sites, ensuring that individuals are set as owners of specific tasks and action plans.
With General Practice operating as separate business units, with varying systems, policies, demographics, staffing there is no single consistent methodology of preparing for a CQC inspection. Practices use a variety of different documents, spreadsheets and systems to collate all the required information needed to evidence their compliance. There is a clear need to identify solutions to support practices in not only gathering the evidence required but also in building the behaviours required to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating into rhythms and routines of business as usual within a practice.
The Primary Care Innovations Programme is supporting a 6month pilot of QUIQCARE across multiple Primary Care Networks across Wessex, with an evaluation expected to be completed in the summer of 2020.
