DERMA was an EU Interreg 2 Seas project that developed novel materials for the management of chronic wounds. The consortium was composed of the Universities of Brighton, Portsmouth and Gent, and French tech transfer agency Eurasante. This documentary - Biomaterials in Action - introduces the problem of chronic dermal ulcers, describes how DERMA intervened in this field, and reveals the results achieved. The film features interviews with internationally acclaimed clinicians and researchers and includes key industrial insight and CGI animations of the developed technologies.
