Almost 150 delegates joined Wessex AHSN's executive, programme and clinical teams at St Mary's Stadium on 13th October to learn how we've been making a difference to people's health and supporting economic growth in the region's health and life science industries during 2014-15. Here's just a small selection of our achievements.
The Bournemouth University Orthopaedic Research Institute has been established with the support of Wessex AHSN and through collaboration with the local NHS, healthcare industry worldwide and companies from startups to multinationals. The Institute will focus on R&D of new technology, international collaborative projects, and making Bournemouth a world-leading location for research into the prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis.
A distinguished panel of speakers and exhibitors shared their support for Wessex Life Science Cluster with delegates and the media attending the launch event at Salisbury City Hall on March 3rd 2015.
This important collaboration is committed to drive employment and investment in the Wessex region with the goal of creating at least 2000 jobs and attracting £100 million in new investment by 2020.
