Co-hosted by Wessex AHSN and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, the forum is designed to support the development of innovative technologies and models of care by bringing together staff from health, academia and industry with an interest in using innovation to transform services.Tuesday, 16 May 2017Southampton General Hospital (Heartbeat Suite)5:30 - 9pmClick here to registerThe meeting will showcase innovations from within the local health system and further afield that have the potential to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. By providing a forum where innovators and clinicians can openly discuss the problems and solutions we aim to improve the quality of the solutions, and shorten the development time so that patients can benefit sooner.
The programme will support the trust’s ambition to promote innovation and innovative ways of working by exploring how local needs might be met through new technologies. The meeting will showcase current innovations within the local health system and from elsewhere in Wessex that have the potential to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care.It will also include a dedicated ‘Innovation Exchange’ to introduce staff to health care products that are under development by start-ups and SMEs and exchange ideas and feedback on their potential application. We welcome staff from all local health organisations, including acute trusts, community providers, CCGs and primary care.
