Rachel Bailey joined Health Innovation Wessex in April 2022 as a Senior Programme Manager in the Insight team. Rachel has worked for the NHS for over 33 years with experience in clinical, transformational, and operational roles .
She joins us from her previous role as Southampton and Southwest Lead for Onward Care working across the system to support complex discharge pathways across multiple organisations. She supported the system-wide transition to the Covid-19 Hospital Discharge Service Policy and Operating Model published by the government in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This required support, coordination and leadership across health, social and voluntary sectors, across both primary and secondary care involved in patient discharge. This resulted in the implementation of multiple changes in policies, procedures, and processes safely at a large scale and pace.
