Wessex Academic Health Science Network (WAHSN) is the national lead for the AHSNs’ Medicines Optimisation (MO) Programme and works collaboratively with the other 14 AHSNs to develop, share and spread good practice. The overarching aim of the MO programme is to help patients get the maximum benefit from their medicines.

We have produced a campaign of videos to encourage people who may be struggling with medicines to seek help. Meet Mo. Mo is just like the rest of us.
1st Mo video, Taking Charge of Your Medicines, was produced to encourage patients who take several types of medicine to book a review with their local pharmacist.
2nd Mo video, Mo's Medicines: from hospital to home, is about supporting patients who've had a visit to hospital where new medicines may be prescribed or where changes have been made to their medicines.
3rd Mo video, Mo’s Medicines - Electronic Repeat Dispensing, sees Mo start using the Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD) service.
