HHFT Rapid Evaluation Final Report 020922

Virtual Wards are a significant development in the health policy context. During 2022, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust collaborated with the Insight team at Wessex AHSN to deliver an NHS England funded rapid evaluation of their virtual ward programme. This provided timely information about its implementation and impact, as trusts across England began to adopt this new approach to care. Key findings indicate Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s virtual ward programme was safe, and provided efficiencies, value and benefits to patients, their carers and the virtual ward workforce.
