Telecare Dementia Conference October 2012 – Rosanne Brown

Rosanne Brown describes the telecare service that was set up in Portsmouth. There were challenges to setting up the medication management service and she describes these. Care Sensor is covered and how it was deployed in a residential rehabilitation unit. The support to carers that telecare can provide is described and that 70 % of its referrals relate to people with dementia. The service has enabled more people to remain in their homes and has reduced the number of conveyances to hospital.
