A short film highlighting the benefits of the new and unique Hydration at Home Toolkit to help people who work in caring roles (e.g. care homes and domiciliary care) to improve hydration among older people in their care using an online tool.

Wessex AHSN has worked in collaboration with Hampshire County Council to produce the Hydration at Home Toolkit, which includes an E-learning module.

The Hydration at Home e-learning module and Toolkit has been endorsed by the British Dietetic Association.

Hydration at Home Toolkit Promo Video

This short video showcases the new hydration at Home Toolkit (including the e-learning module) launched by Wessex AHSN in September 2020. The toolkit includes an E-learning module and hydration resources (e.g. leaflet and poster for the general public) and is primarily aimed at community carers looking after older people (but the key messages are suitable for any carer including those working in acute care settings)

Improving hydration in Hampshire County Council care homes

This 2-minute video aims to showcase a project to improve hydration in residents living in Hampshire County Council care homes. The project, piloted from April to December 2018 in 17 care homes, involved several aspects, including instigating hydration champions, training care home managers and hydration champions, using fun and creative ways to improve hydration and sharing good practice between homes.
