The Engage Project

The Engage! Project was designed to support the psychological wellbeing of older adults during their hospital stay. Staff at Salisbury District Hospital recognised that when older people come into hospital they can feel that they have lost a sense of their own identity and independence, sometimes causing feelings of low self esteem, isolation, anxiety and depression.

Volunteers were recruited and trained to support older adults in hospital and make a difference during a difficult time in their lives.
